17 Weeks

So this past week was great (for the most part) I had a church birthday party that i help decorate and of course attended. We had some yummy food, BBQ pulled pork and Brisket, potato salad, spinach dip, fruit. I ate so much! and we sang happy birthday to everyone and had cupcakes. It was so fun! We played a game which was called Speed Friend-ing, Yes just like speed dating, so we could get to know each other better. Jared had a few days off this week so we did some fun things, we went and saw the movie "This Means War" super funny!! We also went CAMPING! We didn't go very far just Mmmm, 10 miles up the road to Lake Lewisville. It was so pretty there. The only bad thing was is that we were far from the bathrooms, and i pee ALOT now. For dinner we did tin foil dinners in the fire. We had a nice little fire for when it got chilly at night which was very nice, and In the morning we made bacon, egg, and potatoes burritos!! So good!! It was nice to get out of our apartment and into nature for a little bit.

Tin-Foil Dinner

1 package of kielbasa sausage, sliced

 potatoes, cut into wedges

some onion and carrots

orange juice

olive oil

garlic powder

pepper

 salt

On to baby

T Minus 16 days tell we know what we are having!

I am 17 weeks 4 days.  Our little bean is the size of an Onion!

It's rubbery cartilage is now turning to bone.

And is growing some meat on those bones -- putting on some fat.

Little bean is growing a stronger, thicker umbilical cord, too

More and More i feel little flutters in my belly. Jared can't feel anything...yet.  My belly button i think is going to become an outtie.My belly is getting bigger everyday but not by much.

16 Weeks

We had another doctors appointment today! I had to get blood drawn, yes i was a baby about it!  We also got to hear its little heart beat, awhh. Our doctor is so nice and understanding. We get to have our next appointment a week early because Jared will be going to Colorado for some training class with Hunter Douglas Blinds. So we are VERY excited because that is when we get to find out if its a boy or girl. Of course we will tell you the name when we know what were having. My "bump" is so tiny it doesn't look like I'm pregnant, all i was it just a bump so EVERYONE knows!!! The good news is that i have been able to eat alot more than before. My morning sickness was the worst. My doctor has me on some medication which helps me so much!!

How far along? 16 Weeks 4 days

Total weight gain/loss: I had lost 15 pounds all together but I've now gained back 6 lbs!

Maternity clothes? Yeah right! I barely fit into my regular clothes.

Sleep: I toss and turn ALOT and I wake up to pee in the middle of the night.

Best moment this week: Feel the little bean move in me. and that we get to see what were having in 3 weeks!!

Miss Anything? Of course the things you shouldn't eat while pregnant, like a nice cold  turkey sandwich MMmmmm and seafood, The doctor says only twice a week, I'm thinking that's not enough!!

Movement: Feeling it just a little each day!

Food cravings: Water ICE COLD water, and Dr.Pepper.(don't worry i don't drink a ton of it)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Meat still is nasty to me. But I force myself to eat.

Have you started to show yet: the littlest bump EVER

Gender prediction: Well we want a BOY but i think it's a GIRL, All Jared's and mines siblings have had GIRLS first.

Labor Signs: Nope

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? Barely on. My fingers have SHRUNK.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and Lazy.

Looking forward to: Finding out what it is, so then we can go shopping!!

Our Little Bean is the size of an Avocado.

It can hear our voices! ( Jared likes to talk to it) Puts a smile on my face!

It's growing hair, eye lashes and brows

and is forming taste buds!

The big day is April 11. I will defiantly be posting our sonogram.

 I promise i have two arms.

The Catch Up

Hello Family and Friends,

Most of you know that Jared and I moved from Mesa, Arizona to Carrollton Texas July 2011. We moved because Jared was offered better work here in Texas. Blinds,Shutter and now Drapes. We love being here, it is a nice change. Though it has been very hard being so far from family and friends. Jared and I have done some fun things here.

• Fort Worth Zoo- Very cool, Second best zoo I've been too.
• Dallas Arboretum- 66-acres of spectacular display gardens that showcase incredible seasonal flowers, ornamental shrubs, trees and plant collections in a serene setting on White Rock Lake.  It was alot of fun we went at Halloween time and there were pumpkins EVERYWHERE.
• Dallas State Fair- The fair is HUGE we didn't even get to see everything and we were there for almost 5 hours! It was alot of fun though, we saw our first pig race too!
• We went camping in Brokenbow Oklahoma- BEAUTIFUL. It was so nice to get away, it was a three hour drive but so worth it.
• Dallas World Aquarium- We went when my sister was here at Thanksgiving. It was amazing, we got to watch them feed the sharks, there were monkeys....not in cages! they had there own little island. It was so nice when my sister was here.

We were able to make a trip back to Arizona over Christmas. Our first stop was Show Low, AZ where some of Jared's siblings live. they had a birthday party for Jared to while we were there, Definitively some yummy food! It was so nice to see all the siblings and nieces and nephews there, we enjoyed our stay there.We got to go play in the snow while we were there to it was so fun to see little Conner go sliding down this little hill! Our next stop Mesa, AZ this was about a three hour drive. Where we stayed with my grandma. We were able to see my brother and his family which was super nice to see my nieces, Kids sure do grow super fast now days! We also saw our favorite friends ever, we had a huge group dinner at Barros pizza, Jared's friends came and my salon girls came, it was so fun! We did some fun things there I gave my grandma a perm and we saw the temple lights and just had a good time. Our next stop was Pima, AZ another 3 hours, that's where Jared's parents have there new home. Jared's sister Tiffany and Dawn and her three kids live there with them and grandma Watson too, they have a beautiful home, While we were there we saw Jared's Aunts and Uncles that we haven't seen in a long time. We were there when Dawns twin boys opened there presents it was so fun to watch them do that! Our last stop was Sierra Vista, AZ to see my parents, we got there late Christmas morning. We sure did get spoiled with gifts. My mom cooked a big dinner, Some of my cousins where there too, and of course Ariel (my sister) was there! We had a wonderful Christmas! The next day my brother and his family came down for another small Christmas with them. We stayed an extra day there and my mom and dad took us to see We bought a Zoo (super cute) and dinner Vinny's! Best chicken wings ever!! The next day was our LONG journey home. We left my parents house at 2:30 AM we had to take turns drive cause we were so tired, we finally made it back to our apartment at 5:45PM. It was a nice trip but we were so glad to be home and sleep in our own bed!

After our lovely trip to Arizona......On New Years Eve.....I took a pregnancy test, 

It was POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!  Jared and I of course had to call our families and let them know. Everyone is so happy for us, and Jared and I are SUPER SUPER EXCITED!  We had our first Ob appointment a few weeks later and we got to see our little baby. We want a boy so bad! My dad says and now i know why that's why we call them peanuts!

Ultra-Sound 8 weeks 4 days

My mom Came and stayed with Jared and I for a week, It was super nice. When she was here we were able to see/meet some of her cousins. They are so nice and I'm so glad we got to meet them! They live in Texas too! My mom got us a few things for little baby. She is making an amazing blanket for the baby too. =]

We are Due August 30th.
