Jared's business is growing so fast. We had to hire another person to help with the overload of work we have. Which has helped so much! Jared was working 12-13 hour days. We are still moving in July to Irving and are so excited to be in a bigger place. We are renting a town home and will have a full size garage! That's the best part! Well and Jared will be closer to his jobs.
This summer has been way better than last
1. i have a vehicle
2. i'm not as scared to go to the pool this year
3. i'm not pregnant
4. I have the best daughter ever
5. we have Netflix
6. SONIC
Not only do they have happy hour during the day they have HALF PRICED milk shakes after 8!!! We are a little obsessed with it. We can get 2 small shakes for less than 3 bucks!! And Oh man they are good.
p.s. Chocolate covered strawberries is the one to get.

Some of you know this but i'm so proud to say it on my blog;; I Amanda Watson have lost 13 pounds! Being pregnant and your clothes not fitting you is one thing but when your baby is coming up on a year and your clothes aren't fitting is totally different! I have been working out every morning (5 days on 2 off) and i just feel so much better about myself! My clothes fit and i need new pants!

Well that is all i got for now friends. Remember to follow me on Instagram;;amaewatson

Teething Biscuits

I have wanted to make these bad boys for awhile now, the main reason i didn't was because i didn't think Emma would be able to eat it. She has proven to me now that she is pretty much a pro eater. I go the recipe off of Pinterest.

Teething Biscuits

1 cup flour

1 cup dry infant rice cereal ( i used infant oatmeal)
1 jar of baby food ( I used sweet potatoes) or 1/3 cup freshly steamed and mashed
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons water

  • Preheat oven to 400ºF, In a bowl, mix together flour, cereal and cinnamon.
  • Add in oil, babyfood and water. Mix until dough comes together to form a firm, non-sticky dough. Add water or flour (1 tablespoon at a time if necessary) I had to add an extra tablespoon.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough ( I did mine not thick but not thin)
  • Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 9-11 minutes, or until slightly brown. Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.

She loved them! Mine were crispy on the out-side and soft on the inside! Tell me what you think when you make yours!

Enjoy!

slow-cooker chicken tortilla soup

This recipe is pretty much AMAZING. I found it in a Kroger ad and thought hmm, i'll give it a try. with a few adjustments! Best thing ever!

Slow-cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup.

Half of an Onion ( chopped)
3 frozen chicken breast
1 can of Rotel (Tomatoes and green chilies)
1  10oz can of red enchilada sauce (mild)
1 clove of garlic (minced)
10 oz of chicken broth
1 tsp each cumin, chili powder and salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 bay leaf
1 can of corn
 Handful of chopped cilantro

Lime wedges, or juice, shredded Parmesan cheese, sour cream, avocado slices, and tortilla strips for serving

Place the chopped onion in the bottom of the slow cookers. Layer the frozen chicken breast on top. Add Rotel with juice, enchilada sauce, garlic, chicken broth, spices and bay leaf. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Remove bay leaf. Remove chicken and shred with two forks. Return to the slow cooker. Stir in corn, continue to heat until corn is hot. Add a handful of chopped cilantro.
Serves about 4

We ate our soup with Parmesan cheese, fresh lime juice, and Santa Fe style tortilla strips...yum.

Enjoy!
